			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Fitness supplements are not necessary for you to buy and consume in order for the average person to get a healthy body.  If your body has a distinct lack of an important vitamin or nutrient that your doctor says you need, then you should look into fitness supplements.  If you are also seriously planning on becoming a professional athlete or bodybuilder, then you will also need to look at including fitness supplements into your overall workout strategy.  Before you take any supplement, make sure your doctor approves.</p>
<p>Protein Bars And Shakes</p>
<p>Perhaps the most popular fitness supplements sold are protein bars and protein powders to make protein shakes.  Bodybuilders and professional athletes burn up an incredible amount of fuel.  One of the best muscle-building nutrients is protein.  But that doesn&#8217;t mean you should eat buckets of fried chicken and tons of cheeseburgers every day.  Your protein needs to be lean, healthy and easy to prepare.</p>
<p>Protein bars and powders vary widely in taste, flavors and grittiness.  There are so many to choose from that sooner or later you will find a preferred brand.  You can buy them from health food stores, some department stores, sporting goods shops, some pharmacies and all of their online equivalents.</p>
<p>L-Glutamine</p>
<p>Like protein, L-Glutamine is an amino acid that helps burn up your fat and keeps you healthy.  If you work out too much, or don&#8217;t consume enough low-fat calories, your body reacts by eating itself.  When the body fat is gone, it will break down your muscles.  You really don’t want this if you are bodybuilding!  This is called &#8220;catabolism&#8221; and is the main reason why you shouldn&#8217;t lift weights every day.</p>
<p>If you are already taking a protein fitness supplement, check the label to be sure it includes L-Glutamine.  L-Glutamine supplements come in a tasteless powder form as well as a pill form and found wherever nutritional supplements are sold.  There are hardly any side effects associated with L-Glutamine, but be sure to read any warning labels.  And more does not mean better!</p>
<p>These are only two of many fitness supplements in advertisements, health food stores and gyms.  They can be pricey, so be sure you really need to take them before you invest in them.  And they don&#8217;t make you fit all by themselves.  You still have to eat healthy and exercise in order to get fit and stay fit.  Be sure to stop smoking and cut back on alcoholic beverages, too.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Health is becoming an increasingly important aspect of daily life.  It is almost impossible to eat a meal without considering the ingredients and how healthy it is for you.  However, making healthy decisions isn’t always easy.  Some people take the easy way out and substitute their meals with a nutrition energy bar made from a recipe.</p>
<p><strong>How Healthy?</strong></p>
<p>Recipes for nutrition energy bars are a great way to ensure that you are maintaining a healthy lifestyle.  Store bought bars are healthy, but using your own recipe eliminates the addition of any unnecessary fats, sugars, and preservatives.  Additionally, using your own recipes for energy nutrition bars allows you to customize some of the ingredients to your own preferences.</p>
<p><strong>Start With The Basics</strong></p>
<p>A great way to begin your recipe for an energy nutrition bar is with a basic starter recipe.  This recipe contains basic ingredients, but more can be added depending on the chef’s personal preferences.  To make this recipe, you will need: 3 1/2 cups quick oats, 1 1/2 cups powdered non-fat milk, 4 scoops low carbohydrate chocolate or vanilla protein powder, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1/4 c. natural applesauce, 2 egg whites (beaten), 1 cup sugar-free maple syrup, and 1/4 cup orange juice.</p>
<p>To begin, mix the powdered milk, oats, and protein powder in bowl.  Next, mix the egg whites, orange juice, applesauce, and the sugar-free syrup in a separate bowl.  Make sure to blend the ingredients in both bowls very thoroughly.  Then, stir the liquid mixture into the dry mixture until they are completely blended.</p>
<p>Spread the batter you have created into a pan and bake until the edges are crisp.  Once you have removed the bars from the oven, cut them into ten bars and store in an air-tight container.</p>
<p><strong>Customize Your Health</strong></p>
<p>Though this is a great basic recipe for energy nutrition bars, some chefs might want to customize the recipe using ingredients that they like better.  Do have a weak spot for peanut butter?  Try using this ingredient to replace the syrup!  Would you rather your nutrition bar have a crunch?  Add almonds or pecans to the batter!</p>
<p><strong>A New Kind Of Nutrition</strong></p>
<p>With all of the refined sugars, processed carbohydrates, and trans fats in the world today, one can never be sure just how healthy their food is.  However, making your own nutrition energy bars from a recipe is a great way to make your food just a little more nutritious.</p>

While many are exercising properly and counting calories, they may overlook that a certain amount of calories are going to be needed to supply energy to the body. Many people will cut out several foods in a diet, not realizing that some of those foods provide needed sources of nutrition, putting their health at risk.</p>
<p>It is common knowledge that is order to lose weight a person has to consume less calories than their body burns, but many times people will simply cut way back on eating and hope to lose the pounds. Unfortunately, if they have no exercise plan they only thing they will lose is the value of nutrition in their diet. While reducing caloric intake is important to weight loss, staying active and burning the excess calories will help lose the weight in a healthier manner.</p>
<p>Up until 2005, the Department of Agriculture had a food pyramid that listed four major food groups, and had recommendations of how much to eat from each food group in order to have the proper nutrition in the diet. Since then, the food pyramid has been expanded to six groups, with recommendations varied by person as well as by what they hope to accomplish with a diet.</p>
<p>Nutrition Plays Role In Healthy Lifestyle</p>
<p>Some diet plans may sound good on the surface, but there are many things to consider to ensure proper nutrition in a meal plan. Eliminating carbohydrates may help reduce sugar in the system, but carbohydrates and the glucose it provides is an important part of nutrition since glucose provides energy to the cells in the body. Simple carbohydrates metabolize quickly, increasing the amount of glucose in the blood and storing some of the leftovers in fat cells.</p>
<p>Complex carbohydrates however, are slower to turn into sugar in the blood, and the glucose is usually used before being stored in fat cells. How fast carbohydrates are metabolized will depend on the individual’s metabolism rate, but better nutrition by eating the right foods, will also help with weight control.</p>
<p>There is no single diet plan that will offer the same benefits to everyone, but considering the purpose of the diet, nutrition information must be used when developing an individual plan. For the right plan, with the right nutrition for each individual, it may be necessary to ask a professional for advice.</p>

<p>Five Main Groups</p>
<p>The new food pyramid has five main types of food groups including bread as well as cereals, fruits, vegetables, and proteins and finally, diary. <p>Even though the new food pyramid has proved to be effective for many people, there are still many detractors of it that complain that not enough and proper research has gone into its makings. Nevertheless, there is still a new food pyramid that is being developed in which portions are left unchanged though new and different foods have been added that can form a part of a healthy diet.</p>
<p>Some of these foods that have been added to the new food pyramid which will contribute to better health include items such as whole grains, plant oils, fish, poultry as well as eggs, butter and red meats, and vitamin supplements. The first such new food addition is the whole grains that are ideal because they supply your body with carbohydrates that the body needs and you can also include oatmeal and also whole wheat bread and bran.</p>

<p>Some Similarities Included</p>
<p>Many aspects of a vegetarian food guide are similar to the standard food guide.  For example, the recommended fruits, vegetables, and grains include all of the same foods.  It is still recommended that the grains that are consumed are whole grains, and that the amount of vegetables and fruits that are consumed is generous.  Another similarity is the recommended amount of oils and fats—this group is still limited.</p>

<p>The major difference on the vegetarian food guide is the meat portion.  Where meats would be on the standard food guide, instead meat alternatives are listed.  These alternatives include items such as beans, seeds, nuts, and tofu.  Eating two to three of these meat alternatives every day will ensure that a vegetarian receives the right amount of protein.</p>

<p>One assumption that is commonly made about a vegetarian food guide is that the milk and dairy portion of the guide is also somehow limited.  However, this is not true in the least.  Those who make this assumption are confusing the vegetarian food guide with what would be a vegan food guide.</p>
