One Way To Take Noni: Hawaiian Noni Juice In Tablets

Published by Jennifer at 10:28 pm under Diet Plans, Juice Dieting

Hawaiian noni juice is in the headlines today because of claims that it helps maintain cholesterol at healthy levels and helps cure or prevent disorders like diabetes, obesity, arthritis, hemorrhoids, and depression. These claims have yet to be proven, but while we all wait for science to weigh in on the effectiveness of Noni juice, people are wondering if Hawaiian Noni juice in tablets is as effective as Hawaiian Noni fruit juice.

Morinda Citrifolia, commonly known as the Noni fruit, grows primarily in Tahiti and Hawaii. Juice harvested when the Noni fruit is ripe is said to have the highest level of therapeutic nutrients. Noni products are generally made four different ways.

Pure Processing

Processors capture 100% pure Noni juice directly from fruit so ripe, the juice drips through the skin. This may be the purest form of Noni juice; however many consumers demand Hawaiian Noni juice in tablets because they don’t like the taste of the pure Noni juice. Some consumers dilute the pure Noni juice with other fruit juices because the taste is so strong.

No thickeners, preservatives, or flavorings are added to Noni Juice products prepared the juice-only way. This omission allows these products to be sold as 100% pure Noni juice, which may be important to some consumers, but not to those who seek Hawaiian Noni juice in tablets.

Fruit Puree Processing

Another way Noni fruit products are processed is to mash the ripe Noni fruit pulp into a puree, usually diluted with juices of other fruits, like apple juice. This method of working with the Noni fruit preserves any nutrients found in the pulp itself and adds some fiber to the other nutrients in Noni juice.

The use of filler juices has its advantages and its disadvantages. On the plus side, the taste of Noni fruit puree appeals to a broader audience because addition of apple juice improves the flavor. However, diluting the Noni fruit may dilute its therapeutic power. The processor may not disclose the amount of Noni juice in the product compared to filler juices like apple juice. Consumers who prefer to take Hawaiian Noni juice in tablets because they cannot tolerate the taste of pure Noni juice might also consider trying Noni fruit puree.

Powdered Juice Processing

When Noni fruit juice is processed into powder, the ripe fruit is completely dried, and the dry fruit is ground into powder. Additives of thickeners and sweeteners are mixed with the dried Noni fruit powder to improve the flavor. The powder is shipped to other locations where it is reconstituted with water or juice and sold to consumers.
One advantage of this processing method is the sweet taste of the resulting product, thanks to the additives and thickeners. Because of these additives, it can be hard for consumers to know just how much Noni juice they are getting in Hawaiian Noni juice in tablets.
